OK.. So Emily says the strings have a cleaner and less “tinny” sound. I take that as good.. woot!

After obsessing about new guitar strings I went out and got some new Martin SP 92/8 phosphor bronze acoustic strings. Since it was my first time changing the strings I was a little unsure of what to do, but in reality it was easy. I did one string at a time, stretching then tuning as I went. In the end everything was pretty nice, and I played for a bit.

The sound is certainly different; I’m not sure if it is better, but they seem to have a more full sound. They certainly look much cleaner than the ones that came with the guitar.

I know I said I’d have guitar pictures, but this is one better!

Well.. That was a bit of a hiatus.. sorry mom and aaron.

The most interesting news, if you can call it news, is that I got a guitar! It is a Yamaha f335 acoustic, and I’ve been playing around with that quite a bit. So far I’m pretty bad, but it is a heck of a lot of fun!!!

Emily and I went to Connecticut this weekend, and we did some kayaking on the CT river; that was a lot of fun except for the clowns in the motorboats going mach 2. ok ok ok.. Pics to follow soon; but I don’t know where my camera is!
