Fast food fun!

Sunday, October 5th, 2008

Yesterday Emily and I walked up to 23rd and 6th to go to Home Depot, but we had to nourish ourselves for the adventure. So where did we go? Two of the craziest (but best) places for food yet.

Pommes is a french fry store; they only sell fries. They have every kind of dipping sauce you can imagine, mango, peanut, pesto, and 30 other crazy sauces. Of course we loved these. :)

But we couldn’t stop there! While we were up in the area we had to go to the Shake Shack. This place always has a longggg line, but it was worth every minute. Emily and I played Boggle while we waited, and the shake and burgers were amazing!

Wok it to me!

I am not a world class chef, but I do love to eat. This often results in my cooking being photographed and beamed up to the internets. For those following my blog who don’t see me every day, this image is a scary insight into just how much effort I have to put into heating up that precious Trader Joes frozen dinner.

Thanks to David for use of the Wok, and to Emily for the fine photography

Roastin

I made a roast tonight, and Emily used her skills to document it! I owe the injected garlic concept to Brad.. Here are some choice shots.

J. W. Morris Chardonnay, 2005

Monday, October 29th, 2007

Emily and I are baking a great chicken dish, and enjoying an inexpensive bottle of wine. Normally I’m not impressed with the whites, but this one is good enough for me to blog! It was $3.99 at Trader Joes, and it is pretty darn good..

2005 J.W. Morris Chardonnay gets high marks in my book :)
