Ok Ok OK.. I was just surfing the web and thinking about bikes.. I know some stuff about bikes and found a product that could be pretty popular. I can actually produce the things as a test pretty cheaply in house… So I’m gonna give it a whirl! I need to check on some patents to make sure I’m not infringing; but if not I am pretty sure my idea is in fact patentable. So, that’ll add some fun, but we’ll see.. A little research before I order the goods and create a little web page to sell this stuff…

yah, so I’m not saying what it is yet.. you’ll have to wait in suspense for a week or so

Emily and I are on a little vaca down on THE CAPE! This place is a blast! Yesterday I dug Sandy and Stu’s AMC Sunfish out of their basement, and put it in the water. It took me a pretty good long time to get the boat ready because all the rigging was off. Fortunately it only has one sail! I took it for a spin and after some time I got the hang of it; Emily even went out with me! Too bad the thing is so small because I think we almost sunk it!

Relating to Expert Bluffs; I’ve tried a couple media campaigns recently. PPC on Yahoo, a classified on 2+2, and even a front page classified on Fark.com. So I’ve gotten three leads in the last 4 days or so, but guess what site referred them? Well one from fark, but the other two came from the SF craigslist post I made the other day(for free).. Grumble!

Yahoo is the best search engine (for today anyway). Both Google and MSN have content policies for the sponsored search that flat out deny any poker related content. However my site has really nothing to do with gambling, and certainly doesn’t promote any particular site. Yahoo had flagged my site incorrectly as a promoter (because they probably figured I was an affiliate), but after contacting their customer service they green lit my ad! So Yahoo sponsored search is on my good side today which is good because I’m giving them all these backlinks from my PR0 site! (if you don’t think that is funny; be glad you aren’t a dork).

So what does this mean? It means I can now use PPC to drive traffic to my site, and I can test this concept out even more!

The condo was shown for the first time today; which is generally a good sign that we priced the thing reasonably. The Brookline area is rather competitive for 1 bedrooms, so anything under $300k is appealing. We priced it at $269k since it is a basement and I want to sell the thing. Fingers crossed! Open house this Sunday!

Also, my clients seem to be rather happy and that seems to be actually working, and it is encouraging enough to make me seriously consider developing a more formal web infrastructure. I want to close a few more clients to “prove” to myself that it works though..

My business, Chase Limited had its first revenue today! The first deal was closed, and payment has been received!! Assuming my contractor can fulfill the order we’ll actually see a gross profit on this deal..
